Okay, so it’s hot as Haiti out there, but it’s officially September. And you know what that means? It’s time for you to start thinking about creating a holiday card that’s going to knock everyone’s socks off, right?!
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been getting lots of inquiries about whether or not I’m doing mini sessions for the holiday season. Well, the short answer is….no.
I’m not trying to be difficult, and goodness knows I like to make everyone happy. However, I am sticking to the promise that I’d only be offering mini sessions on Mother’s Day from here on out, and this is why: capturing images of families in their element is what I do best. Whether indoors or out, being on their home turf (or in a space that’s like home to them) is what helps me create images that are unique to the people I photograph.
So, this holiday season, I want your card to be one that won’t be confused with another family’s. Fall foliage and open fields are gorgeous, no doubt, but a shot of you on your front porch or playing in a pile of leaves in the backyard would make your card one-of-a kind! Are the mountains your family’s getaway? Take me for a hike! I’d absolutely love to follow you along to a spot in town that holds meaning to you.
If you’d prefer to have your session take place in your home while it’s decorated for Christmas, or maybe need a photographer to follow you along to a Christmas tree farm, have no fear! I’m accepting a limited amount of sessions during the first week of December to those who want a more wintry look.
Also, going back to that people pleasing part of me, I do understand that you may be thinking “but I don’t want to invest in a full family session right now.” I hear you. Spending money can go a bit haywire during the holidays, and I understand that the beauty of mini sessions can be the savings on cost. The good news is…you don’t have to break the bank to have a rockin’ Christmas card session!
Now through December, book a family session with me and pay $175 for the session and one digital image. A session and a digital file of obligatory Christmas card image included with the price tag of an average mini session. Yet, instead of the normal 15-30 minute mini session time frame in a fixed location, you’ll have a hour long session of fun in a location of your choice.** Also, your images will be uploaded to an online gallery and made available for six months. That way, you’re given ample amount of time to make purchases of prints/digital images later, OR perhaps you can put those add-ons on your own Christmas list?;)
Alrighty, if you’ve gotten to the end of this: thank you. For reading, and for understanding. I love that I get to work with amazing clients, and everyone deserves amazing images that stand out! I’d like to think you believe that, too, so don’t delay! Contact me today to book your spot (lindseyzovkophotography@gmail.com, or visit “contact” page on this site) and please share with friends!
**Location must be within Albemarle County. Other locations considered, but travel fees will apply.**
Here’s a peek into an on-their-turf family session last fall, in case you’re like me and need a visual to go along with lots of talk…
