One thing that’s always in the back of my mind when photographing a wedding is how the images will ultimately become part of a family’s history and story for years to come.
Case in point, one of the first things I photographed at Jamie and Jake’s wedding was a picture of Jamie’s mom in her wedding gown, accompanied by the invitation from her wedding day. Because not only was Jamie’s wedding to Jake happening in the same church in which her mom and dad had said “I do,” but she’d also be wearing an altered version of the dress her mom wore that day.
So, needless to say, it was honor to continue telling the story of not just that dress, but of the family that it belongs to.
And on a side note before you scroll down, please take notice of just how beautiful an unplugged wedding looks. No faces hidden by phones, all eyes on the people that the day is about, and all smiles and energy directed at the couple…
