I always say that the images I create while on vacation ultimately end up being my favorites of the year. I used to think it was because the beach just makes everything look better. Maybe that’s a little true. But it’s just this year that I realized there’s a bigger reason: I stop over-thinking when I’m at the beach. I take care of the technical side of the camera and then just shoot as I go, stressing less about how an image looks and focusing more on capturing the emotion and energy of where I am. The result? Relaxed images that reflect the style of photography I’m always hoping to achieve.
With that bit of insight, I’m excited to get back to work! Be on the lookout for an announcement regarding family and child end of summer/fall sessions soon….or if you just so happen to need a photographer at the beach, you won’t have to twist my arm to come with you.
