I started 2015 with the intention to focus only on weddings and newborns, so I booked only a few family sessions- and the ones that I did were for the families that I knew trusted me to photograph them in a fun, unscripted kind of way. I’m definitely not the photographer who shows up with props and bribes, and it’s always refreshing when moms and dads are willing to let me capture their family without any of the stress or fuss that can make a session feel more like work than play. These families show up ready to be themselves, run around, and risk getting their clothes dirty for the sake of making memories and images that truly show their hearts….and I couldn’t be more grateful for that!
So, I’ve compiled a few favorites from my time with those awesome folks! I may not categorize myself as a family photographer anymore, but these people make me realize that I could never quite give it up completely.
