If somebody contacts me who’s friends with Jessica of Phlour Flower Design, I know immediately that they’re going to be good people. And not just good people. Fun, loving, and laid back people. So needless to say, when Carissa reached out about having me photograph her and Sam’s wedding at Castle Hill, it was an immediate yes from me – and thankfully for them, too, as Carissa was certain she wanted someone who captured their day with little intervention and with an eye for telling the story as it unfolded. So a match was made…and then I counted down for 12 months for their big day to arrive;)
Which when it finally did was just as fun and unique as I knew it would be – a true reflection of her and Sam. There were tambourines instead of bridesmaid bouquets, a pinata instead of a wedding cake, a flower grandma in addition to a flower girl, and 1000 bright neon cranes as a backdrop for their vows (all of which Carissa folded – with a little help from Sam;) – as a symbol of the patience and commitment that would be brought into the marriage).
More importantly, there was a sense of joy that was palpable the entire day, something I will forever to be grateful to have been a part of.
So scroll on down to see a peek into their day, and please see the list of amazing vendors who helped bring the whole day together with ease and grace.)
